The purpose of the event is to honor the remarkable career of Albin Stenroos, who was born in Vehmaa, with his greatest achievement being the Olympic gold in the marathon in Paris in 1924. The memorial run starts from Seurala, where Stenroos's memorial is located, and it will take place again in the summer of 2025 on Saturday, June 28, at 1:00 PM.
