The Lumpero Run was first held in 1985 and it didn't miss a year even during the pandemic. Since 2005, the competition center has been located at the Saarijärvi sports field. The 41st Lumpero Run took place on Sunday, August 17, 2025, in excellent conditions and on routes that were altered due to roadworks, but still maintained the same distances.
