Join us at the beautiful Lake Sylvia State Park near Montesano for the Run Forest Run race. The event offers runners the choice between 25K and 50K distances. The race starts and ends in the state park, but most of the route traverses the working forest in the neighborhood, which is owned by the city of Montesano. The course features approximately 2400 feet of elevation gain, spread across several short ascents, and parts of the trail are rugged, bumpy, and/or muddy, so expect to get wet and dirty.
Highlights
- The entry fees are reasonable at $35 for the 25K and $45 for the 50K.
- There are two aid stations on the course, at the start/finish and approximately halfway through the lap.
- The 25K route is a loop that mainly consists of double or single tracks and gravel roads, with less than two miles of asphalt road.
