The Teivo Cup I was held on November 26, 2011, in sunny weather with temperatures a few degrees above freezing. The competition featured 80 runners who raced on a partially icy course. There was a good turnout in the youth categories, with Mila Manninen (KU-68) clocking the best time of 4:10 in the girls' 11-year-old category. In the boys' 11-year-old category, Miska Manninen (KU-68) was the fastest with a time of 4:13, and in the men's 5 km, Jarkko Järvenpää improved the old course record by two seconds, finishing with a time of 14:54.
