Race description

The Velo Salo Backyard Ultra race course is primarily on forest roads, but also includes a more challenging approximately 250-meter trail segment and an easier about 400-meter sand/asphalt section. The course is run clockwise and is 6.7 km long, with the start of each new lap occurring on the hour. The competition continues until there is only one runner left, but the organizers unfortunately have to end the race after 36 laps if a winner has not been found after a fair 240 km run.
