On Saturday, September 28th, the traditional Windal ½-marathon will take place in Vimpeli, featuring running, walking, and biking. The starting gun will go off for runners and cyclists at Saarikenttä at 11 AM, while walkers will set off at 10 AM. The fast ½-marathon route runs through the center of Vimpeli to Koskela, where the halfway point is located, and then returns along the same route back to Saarikenttä. The route consists of relatively flat, asphalt-paved roads, with aid stations placed every four kilometers.
