Komia Ilkan Polku

KOMIA Ilkan Polku is a versatile and challenging trail running event held near Kyrkösjärvi in Ilmajoki. The event offers several distances, including a 39 km marathon, a 20 km half marathon, a 10 km sprint, and a children's Halloween Run. The route passes through varied trails and village roads, including approximately 300 meters of elevation gain. The event center is located at the Nature Center Käpälikkö on the shores of Kyrkösjärvi, and runners can enjoy beautiful nature and challenging sections. The event is also family-friendly and encourages dressing up in Halloween costumes.

The event features mass starts, equipment storage, and transportation of gear from the start to the finish area. The refreshment tent offers coffee, sweets, sausages, and drinks. First aid stations are located along the route and at the finish. Clothing, showers, and toilets are available at the Kyrkösjärvi swimming beach changing cabins. Littering in nature is prohibited. The Children's Halloween Run is free and encourages costume dressing. The event includes various categories, a route, timing, awards, a refreshment stand, soup, equipment storage, toilet facilities at Kyrkösjärvi swimming beach, insurance recommendations, first aid, and an opportunity to test running shoes.
